I've made this recipe a few times minus the potatoes and with red bell pepper instead of the fresno chili. I also use corn starch to thicken it, instead of the flour rue, and everybody who's tried it, say it's the best soup they've ever had. It's an incredibly easy recipe to follow, and people request I make it everywhere I go."
