Reviewed Deviled Skillet Chicken and Pickled Cabbage and Red Onion Slaw

Jun 1, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I LOVED the combination of flavors that both the slaw and chicken shared. The chicken was very rich and the slaw gave it that bite of crunch and acidity to bring the richness of the chicken down a notch. Although, I used green cabbage because that's what I had on hand, it was delish. My husband raved on and on about it. I will never make slaw an"

Too bad. I was going for a quick and easy and I was so disappointed.
I switched it up after the first few and just took some of the dough and added some cocoa powder to make the 'black'. Then rolled out the dough and using a donut cutter cut the cookies. Fill the center of the cookies with the opposite color. You'll have black centers in...

Like so many of your recipes, DELICIOUS!!! That's all I can say about it.
I slow simmered it for several hours and used Anaheim chili's. Those were the only changes.
I will definitely make it again, and again, and again!"

This is a very tasty dish and unless you think that eating hot dogs is redneck, totally not. I made this last night and my husband loved it. I did make a few changes. I used smoked sausage as that is what I had on hand. Saute'd them in the bacon grease then added it to the soup mix. I also used cream of celery and Jack cheese. I will make it again"

I wish I could upload a picture of this cake. It was beautiful! Coconut cake is my husbands favorite so I made this for him as his Fathers' Day cake. He said of all the coconut cakes he has ever had, this was by far the best one EVER! With the exception of the lemon custard filling I added, I followed this recipe to the letter. I usually find so"

WAY TOO MUCH SALT! I used kosher salt as recommended by dbreathe_9845761 and this rub absolutely ruined my beautiful Easter Rib-Eye Steak dinners.
Should have listened to you ks100 :-(
Anne, I love you and watch your show religiously. But readers, do yourself a favor and use another recipe for rub. Sorry Anne."

This dish is amazing. I believe the picture is a mistake. There is another recipe exactly like this one with less ratings. In making it I did not drain rinse the pasta. I added it just after draining to the shrimp. The pasta was infused with all the lovely lemony and garlic flavors. The parsley added a very fresh taste to the dish. My husband and...

I made this last night for dinner and it was WONDERFULLY Delish. I did not rinse the pasta and I added it to the shrimp while it was very warm. The pasta was flavored beautifully with the lemon and garlic flavors. The parsley added a freshness to the dish. Do yourself a favor and make extra pasta. . . Absolutely DELICIOUS!!!

This picture sure doesn't look like what the recipe calls out. No tomato or tomato sauce in the recipe, however this picture looks like it is topped with something red. Looks more like a lasagna. My rating is based on the recipe itself as it sounds delish and I plan on making it for dinner tonight :-)

Fabulous!!!
I cut the recipe to two pears and made it as an anniversary dessert for me and my husband. He absolutely LOVED it. It was light and a nice compliment to the heavy dinner I prepared.

Well, as promised I am hear to tell you that this dish was DELISH! I only made one change. I used 2 loaves of French bread. After cubing, I left it out for 24 hours on a baking sheet to dry. Then after mixing, waited 1 1/2 hours to marinade before baking. Every one of my guests asked for the recipe! A definite keeper on my holiday menu.

This sounds delish. I am going to make it for Thanksgiving. I have read all of the reviews and it appears that most have halved the recipe. I am serving 20 people so I plan to keep the recipe proportions as is, omitting the vanilla bean tho. Thank you "wrights_2370000" for the Spiced Pecan recipe. I believe it will be perfect for this dish. I will...
