Reviewed Not Your Mama's Green Bean Casserole

Nov 22, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This was a huge hit. Onions are a little tricky. Might eliminate them all together, or just make some thin fried onion rings next. It was not soupy, but had a rich sauce."

Quality food at a reasonable price! You may have to wait in line outside, and it is very tight seating. But so are most restaurants in the North End of Boston. After dinner, I recommend Modern Pastry for dessert. You will wait in line here too but worth the wait for a "lobster tail" filled with rich sweet filling....filled to order. The best dess"

Every weekend before Thanksgiving, Plymouth has a Chowda contest after the Thanksgiving parade. The competition is always against Cabby Shack. I do like their chowda! My husband does not like thick chowder, he prefers thin with no thickeners added. The chowder contest has since grown to include more categories of food. It's a great parade and d"

I was at the the Mews in October. Friendly and attentive waitstaff. We ate downstairs at "harbor" level. I ordered the lamb chops. They were done to perfection. My husband had the duck. It was outstanding with a balsamic blueberry deduction. Bursting with flavor!
Highly recommend it!"

Reviewed Creamy Corn Polenta

Oct 23, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

After reading the review below, I realized there is 5c liquid to 1c cornmeal. I used only 2 1/2c chicken broth, and it was thick. You may need to add water a little at a time if it gets too thick. Mine came out fine omitting the water. Polenta is bland, so I added shredded cheddar cheese to mine.""
