Reviewed Roasted Red Bell Pepper Hummus

"I like hummus a whole lot . . . I think I still prefer to add Tahini which I did not add. While this recipe is good, I did add 1/2 a lemon juice and mellowed out the spiceness. I think I would also leave out the jalapeno and only do the chipolte, as I can't handle too much spice. I'll have to try Morgan's Veggie Burgers next.

About Me

I love trying out new recipes and making them my own by adding or taking some ingredients! Like Paula Deen says "make it your own recipe".   I enjoy the Foodnetwork airings, they are so much better than some of the stuff that is out there on TV!  Besides cooking, I do love baking and since the birth of my grandchildren, I now LOVE to eat cupcakes and take every opportunity to have my grandchildren bake when they visit.  People say I'm a pretty good cook . . . I think I just love doing it and seeing what it does to the ones who eat my food . . . so family is what inspires me to cook.  My pet-peeves is when I'm baking cookies and they are all eaten up before I get a chance to display them!  (You know who I'm talking too).  I love my family and wish I would stop aging so I could continue to host our family dinners.

Favorite Foods

I don't think I have a favorite food to cook.  I just like cooking whatever.  My  husband thinks I should have been a short-ordered cook because he says I whip up meals in little or no time at all.

I cook a lot of Puerto Rican, Mexican and Guatemalan cusine and some plain country cooking.  What dish am I famous for? I guess it would depend on what dish I'm cooking and who I'm cooking it for.  I like Johnny Carinos and Logan's has some good steak.
