Reviewed Best Ever Green Bean Casserole
"Didn't turn out great. Made it for Tgiving dinner- the onions were too high maintenance and I forgot to turn them every 10 min, so they didn't get crispy and golden. The flavor of the casserole once done (despite onions was not great as well- too peppery despite following the recipe to the t. For a big feast for a somewhat beginner/intermediate cook, I found this side dish to be way too high maintenance while trying to do a few other things. Plain old green beans with a little seasoning would have been better. Sorry, Alton, otherwise I love your recipes and your show!

"These are REALLY good. My husband and I are rather picky and often disappointed in various recipes. This recipe after 2 trials is excellent! Really, really good. Spicy goodness. This is going to be a regular on our monthly menu. The combo sounds a bit strange- corn, fish, cabbage, mayo sauce- but trust me, you won't be disappointed. Beware though...the chipotle pepper really adds kick- keep an eye on how much you add if you don't like spice.
