We've made this for years, adding a small can of drained green chilies for just a touch of heat. We don't usually put that much butter in it, but it's still darned good! We usually put all the cheese inside and then sprinkle bread crumbs mixed with grated parmesan cheese over the top to add even more flavor.""

My daughter made this for me for mother's day and I loved it! We crushed the chickpeas and used craisins instead of currants. Served it with a nice green salad (using some of the leftover baby spinach leaves) and a glass of white wine - it was FABULOUS! :)"
