The few negative reviews may be because this recipe is missing a step that Anne did on the episode where she made this. Before folding in the whipped cream by 1/3's, she mixes in a dollop of whipped cream "any old way" (I used a whisk). Do this until the chocolate mixture is smooth and no longer crumbly; then it can be folded. When I saw the comment...

Do not try to fold in the whipped cream if the chocolate mixture is chunky. First stir or whisk in some of the whipped cream until the chocolate mixture is smooth enough to fold with the rest of the whipped cream. This worked for me after I ended up with a chunky lump of chocolate/egg mix.

Same thing! But I remembered that in the episode Anne mixed in a big dollop of whipped cream to smooth out the chocolate mixture before folding in the remaining cream by 1/3's. I did this with a whisk and the mixture became smooth. So good!

As a reluctant cook, I usually only make "quick & easy" recipes, but when I saw Melissa make this on TV I thought "I can do that". It took me about 1 hour to prepare and assemble the layers, then another hour to clean up, set the table, and prepare a side dish while the moussaka baked in the oven. This is not a quick weeknight recipe, but it's...

This recipe is a great basic theme that can be adapted to any vegetables, spices/herbs, or cheese you have around. I used baby spinach and a zucchini. I did not bother with the fresh herbs and used dried instead. Family loved it."

My husband took one bite and said "I'm so glad I married you". We've been married almost 9 years and he's never made a food-inspired comment like that before! This soup was so easy and tasty! I like that it doesn't use a lot of milk and cream, as the broth thickened with flour is already creamy yet light. I added about 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese"
