My Activity
Reviewed Fried Chicken
"I made this Fried Chicken for my family's Fourth of July celebration, and everyone loved it. The rub is amazing, providing just the right amount of flavor. My mom, who is known for her fried chicken, even commented that the "torch" had been passed for the best fried chicken in the family!"
Reviewed Creme Brulee
"This was my first go 'round with any sort of custard dessert. Made it for my Mom-in-Law for her birthday, and it turned out BEAUTIFULLY! Smooth, velevetty and not too sweet, it's a great alternative to cake or other heavier desserts. There's nothing quite like the first crack through the sugar after it's been torched.""
Reviewed Scallop and Bacon Pizza
"I made this recipe for my hubby for Valentine's Day, and it was a big hit! I used pre-made pizza crust, and shredded parmesean cheese, so I only used 1/2 c of that. Also, the sauce measurements in the recipe make a LOT of sauce, and if you like light sauce on pizza like we do, you may want to cut the recipe a bit. The scallops add a nice, sweet""
Reviewed Individual Beef Wellingtons
"Absolutely perfect for a Special Occassion meal as the ingredients are pricey. We used prosciutto rather than the pate. The Duxelles was delicious, and my nephew, who doesn't like mushrooms at all, enjoyed this dish thoroughly. I made Giada's Champagne Risotto and Alton's Horseradish Cream Sauce to accompany this wonderful dish. ""
Reviewed Classic Lemon Bars
"These bars were a wonderful change from the super-sweet boxed mixes, but I was anticipating the same sweetness, so these were a bit of a surprise. The recipe was easy and outside of the baking time, these really take no time at all. Best of all, you've got a whole 9x13 pan of lemony goodness to enjoy!"
Reviewed Yummy Coco-Nutty Pavlova Log
"This light, delicious dessert is perfect for any occassion. The first time I made it, I followed this recipe to the letter, but as I put it together, I started thinking about more adventurous ingredients. The second time, rather than strawberries and pineapple, I used whole raspberries and chunked and drained canned peaches. The flavors of these fruits are stronger and more intense and provided a brighter flavor in contrast with the sweetness of the meringue and whipped cream. Delicious!"
Reviewed Layered Cranberry Sauce
"Cranberry Cheesecake anyone?
That's exactly what this dish reminded me of. Besides being absolutely delicious, it was SO easy to make and everyone at the table was asking for the recipe.
I might recommend doubling the recipe if you have a large group of people, but the cream cheese makes the flavor of this dish very rich, so a large serving isn't required to enjoy.
Reviewed Sweet Potato-Pecan Casserole
"This recipe is delicious and a great substitute for the buttery, marshmallow-laden sweet potato casserole that my mother always had on the table for Thanksgiving. The fact that it's a reasonably healthy dish is just icing on the cake!
Better than all of that, if you have a loved one who doesn't appreciate the wonders of Sweet Potatoes, have them try two bites of this dish. Speaking from personal experience, I bet you'll have a convert at your table!

My favorite dish has to be Filet Mignon with Gorgonzola Cream sauce as served at Palo aboard Disney Cruise Ships.
My favorite dish to make at home up to this point has to be cheesecake. Delicious, old-fashioned, 100% from scratch cheesecake.
