My passion (and therapy) is canning. Nothing is better that canned beef. I can whip up a killer meal in a matter of minutes and my guests think I slaved in the kitchen all day.
I also use my dehydrater a great deal. Onions, Carrots, jalapenos, sweet red bell peppers. These are great in not just chili, soups and baked meals, but great also to add a crunch and flavor to a lettuce salad!
Favorite food. Hmmmm. Wow. Easier to note what I don't like.
I think it is important to experience as much as you can. This Iowa Girl has even had octopus sushi. Can't say I loved it, but I can say I tried it.
