"Very good. I think the pastry needs a bit more sugar though as well as the apples. I, like other reviewers, added a good amount of cinnamon to the sugar mixture. Will probably make again but will tweak the recipe to my taste. :)"

"Awesome!!! Everyone loved it last night. Discovered we were out of Vodka at the last minute so used dry white wine. It was amazing!!!! I will use Vodka and make my own marinara next time and see how that goes. This is a definite keeper. :)"

"I was super excited to try this after seeing it in FN magazine. I didn't really like the chunkiness, so I blended it semi-smooth which helped. The flavor was good but not incredible. Note: since I wrote this review, I've tried fennel. It's awesome! Cooked fennel is mild and loses all of the licorice flavor and aroma. So glad I took a chance with it! "
