My Activity

Reviewed Pat's Beer Can Grilled Chicken

"I didn't use the grill but put my convection oven on 350". Rested it 20 min. Added some potatoes, carrots and onions to the bottom of the pan. This chicken was so moist! Delicious one pot meal."

Reviewed Beef Stroganoff over Buttered Noodles

"I didn't remove the carrots but cooked them until they were very soft then pureed them and added back to the broth. Left out the mustard and added 1 tbls. ketchup for richness. The carrots made the gravy thicker. I do like a thicker gravy.
Very good."

Reviewed Rockin' Roast Pork Shoulder with Spanish Rice

"I made this today, excellent, moist meat, melted in your mouth. Do it in the oven and cover with heavy duty foil. Sofrito and Sazon can be found in the ethnic area of supermarkets, Spanish area. Look where Goya products are found. You MUST try this. So good.

"Have to add, you can find Adobo in a jar in the ethnic, Spanish section of the supermarket. That is good for a lot of recipes.

"Made this today. Super moist, melts in your mouth meat. Do it as directed, no slow cooker. Heavy duty foil works best. Sofrito and Sazon can be found in the Ethnic area of supermarkets, Spanish.
The Sazon comes in little packets and the Sofrito is in a jar, Goya makes that. Do it....Great!

Reviewed Pot Roast

"Alton is the best. This sounded wierd but I trust AB. It was delicious! I used V8 instead of tomato juice. Otherwise, followed the recipe. I blended all the chunks and juice to get a nice sauce.
Don't listen to the neg. reviews. They probably did something wrong.
Try it!

Reviewed Carrot Cake

"This is the best carrot cake ever. Glad I had extra icing as I couldn't stop eating it alone. I didn't have yogurt so I used sour cream. Just wonderful!! Alton, you are the best!

About Me

I love to cook.  I try at least one new recipe a week. If it's a keeper, I rate it and put it into my collection folder. Alton is my favorite chef.
