Reviewed Chili-Rubbed Turkey Cutlets With Black-Eyed Peas

Jun 5, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on

I tweaked it a little (used lemon juice, cumin and Trader Joe's South African Smoke Seasoning on the turkey) and it was delicious. You can find pics and details on Orna Bakes. Loved the couscous - good the next day too. Lovely, light, summery dish."

One of my favorite things to make. I usually make it with whole-milk ricotta, but this time I used Precious Low Fat Ricotta and didn't miss a thing. Make sure the water is salty like the ocean or your balls will be bland, and don't boil the water too vigorously or they will break apart.

Outstanding. I made it for my daughter's class Hanukkah party and a 6lb brisket fed about 20 adults. They were all raving. I left out the bacon and it was still delicious. I was concerned that it wasn't cooked after two hours covered, so I left it in for another half hour covered and then the half hour uncovered. I sliced it and froze it in the sa"

Just made these for dinner and they were quite delicious. My husband aren't sausage fans (I think because of the fennel) so I tried the Trader Joe's Sweet Chicken Italian Sausage instead. (Also hoping to make it a bit healthier.) He still found the fennel taste prominent, but I really liked the different flavors. Since it was just the two of us I "

Pretty delicious! I only used 1 tsp of cloves and chopped Trader Joe's uncrystallized ginger with some granulated sugar. It made 22 cookies and they were almost a bit underdone after 13 minutes so next time I'll flatten them a bit more. (I wish the pic was more clear for this recipe.) I just hope my family like them as much as the hermits I usuall"

Aug 26, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on

Unbelievable! I got the Atlas 150 and decided to brave making fresh pasta for the first time. The olive oil and eggs came running out of the well so next time I'll put it in a large bowl. But I managed to scrape it all up. I didn't think it would turn out because my dough seemed a bit tough and after kneading for about 8 - 10 minutes I gave up. (I"

Delicious! Took out the kitchen making it, but even my very picky husband loved it so it was worth it! Will definitely make again. Didn't have chili paste so I just added a bit of cayenne pepper. Also didn't turn out quite like the picture. Mine was more saucy, but tasted just fine that way!"

Delicious! And easy. Not a lot of prep at all. I substituted apple cider vinegar because couldn't find rice wine vinegar and it was perfect. I also put some minced ginger and the garlic in with the oil for a few seconds before adding the turkey. My picky husband loved it. Definite redo - thanks Melissa! (And healthy to boot!)"

Reviewed Dry-Rubbed Rib-Eye

Jul 7, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on

Outstanding! I used 2 tsp cumin as reviewers recommended and 2 tb kosher salt. (Don't know why the admin team didn't also correct the fact that it says regular salt instead of kosher salt - that's also why people are complaining too salty.) My mini-chopper couldn't grind the red pepper flakes so I used cayenne. Even my picky mother-in-law who does"

Pretty good but I'm not bowled over. Not sure it's worth the effort. But it does look beautiful. Caramel didn't turn out the first time so I redid it and added a splash of lemon juice and then it worked. The toothpick didn't go all the way in so I used a knife which kept coming up moist. I think it was going through to the caramel. Baked it the fu"

Delicious and easy! I used boneless, skinless thighs and by the time I had cut all the fat off they were quite small so it only took about 30 min and then put the potatoes in for 5 - 10 more. I just put the olive mixture on top of the chicken pieces. I also sprayed the baking sheet. Really tasty!"

Amazing! Made for Passover and everybody loved it. Look on Wolfgang Puck's website for better instructions. Unfortunately I read some other reviews and didn't pour all the caramel into the pan and then it didn't make it all the way around the pan. I'm guessing they didn't caramelize long enough so had way more caramel. I had just enough cheesecak...

Delicious! Even my very picky husband loved it. I had been wanting to try the Trader Joe's South African Smoke Seasoning Blend (paprika flakes, sea salt, garlic, basil)... and it worked perfectly in this recipe. I used less garlic and just sprinkled the chicken with a bit of salt and pepper and the seasoning blend. I also added a bit more salt to...

Delicious! I made them for Thanksgiving. My first time deep-frying so was a bit scary. My first batch were beautiful and brown but the second and third were too light and some split open. I realized that the oil should have been brought back up to temp again before putting more in. Also, be gentle when turning so you don't make a hole in the brea...

I left out the raisins and used Billington's Muscovado light brown sugar. I took the first batch out after about 10 minutes and thought they would be too crumbly, so left the next two batches in for longer. First batch were the favorites. Complaints about the others were that they were too dry and a bit "sawdust-y". I was a bit confused about the...
