Awesome gravy, HOWEVER, do not put a metal pan on both burners of an electric stove, AB's stove is gas, and he can do that. If your stove is electric, you will cause a fire that will ruin the wiring of your stove, and possibly more.

My first time making it was a disaster. The recipe didn't specify what variety of wine, or onions. All I had were sweet onions, big mistake, and a Spanish variety wine that together made the soup too sweet tasting. Yellow onions are what you need, and a nice French wine. ""
