Reviewed Crispy Kale Chips with Lemon

Feb 2, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Everyone has their own way of making kale chips, but this one -- in my opinion -- is by far the best. I took the advice of the reviewer who used a zip lock bag and it worked like a charm! I added the lemon juice and a little lemon zest before I baked them and they were luscious. The longer you keep them in the oven, the crispier they get, and the "

These cupcakes were already off the charts, but I altered the frosting recipe a bit and now they are so good I can't stand it! I browned the butter, let it set, and then mixed it in with the rest of the frosting ingredients. It added a nice rich flavor that went perfectly with the maple syrup. Reviewed BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich

Reviewed Orange Banana Bread

Feb 2, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This bread is delicious and a great way to use up those overripe bananas! I baked it a little longer because the first time I made it, I thought it was a little "soggy" in the center. The recipe can also be used to make cute little muffins as well!"

Feb 2, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This dish was incredible and SO easy to make! I switched out the sour cream for plain Greek yogurt to lighten it up a bit and it was incredible. Choose nice thick, meaty mushrooms and you won't miss the meat at all. In fact, I actually prefer this to a version with beef! To go completely vegetarian, use vegetable broth instead of beef broth."

Reviewed Baked Beans With Swiss Chard

Jun 17, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I love this dish! I substituted diced pancetta and used fire roasted tomatoes which added a rich, smoky flavor. I couldn't find Swiss chard in my organic grocery store but I did find a bag of cleaned and ready to use Southern greens, which is a mixture of mustard, turnip, collards and spinach. I topped the finished dish with some crumbled kale chi"
