Reviewed Uncle Bob's Fresh Apple Cake

Mar 15, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I cannot tell you how truly delicious this cake is. It is the best apple cake I have ever tasted, even without the glaze. The only modifications I made: I used three Granny Smith Apples, instead of 2. I used 1 1/2 cup of sugar, instead of 2 cups, and I baked it for 1 hour and 15 minutes, instead of 1 hour and 30 minutes in a convection oven, and...

The cookies are very delicious, especially with the glaze. You can substitute maple sugar with just plain white sugar; it still comes out tasting great. But the dough..what a nightmare to work with. I kept it in the refrigerator for four hours, and it was mooshy to work with. I opted for making the cookies the next day, hoping the dough would...

Reviewed My Big, Fat Chocolate Chip Cookies

Dec 6, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Extremely delicious cookies! I have to say, the best tasting choc. chip cookies I have tasted to date. I used 8 oz. of Ghiradelli Semi-Sweet Chocolate chips instead of the chunks, and added 1 cup crushed walnuts. These cookies keep disappearing! Very easy to make. What a great recipe. Thanks Tyler!

This was the most incredible tasting pie I have ever tasted. This is not a simple tasting pie, every bite is filled with a complex surprise of flavors. I absolutely loved it! I made it exactly as the recipe stated. Make sure when you make this pie, you make the crust that goes with it. It will be so worth it to make it. Don't cheat with store bought...

The pie was ok. It tasted too milky for my taste, and with every bite, I felt something was missing (although I followed the recipe accurately). Not sure if the recipe should have had maybe, more cinnamon? I thought some readers were accurate in saying, it tasted pretty average. Sorry :(

Very delicious! This soup is the quality of soup you would expect to eat at a very expensive restaurant. My family loved it! It was rich and creamy, and had such a bang on your taste buds. The only thing that I would change the next time I make it, maybe add only a 1/2 cup of wine.

This was the most beautiful, delicious and light tasting pumpkin bread ever! It was absolutely devine. Only mod, added walnuts, instead of pumpkin seeds. One problem I had with the recipe was, shredding the pumpkin while it was raw, it was very difficult and time consuming ughhhh! I opted for stove top cooking, until it had the consistency of...

It was an absolute "bottom of an empty pot" winner! Everyone in my family loved it, and had second servings. The only modification I made to the original recipe was, adding four tablespoons of heavy whipping cream after blending. I made this recipe twice now, and both times it disappeared.
