My Activity
Reviewed Sausage and Fish One-Pot
"Everyone in the household loved this recipe. I used pinot grigio instead of vermouth and large peeled and deveined shrimp instead of fish. This has almost become our "spaghetti" in the house because it's so easy and so delicious. That's what I love about some of Rachel's dishes, they are versatile and lend themselves to alternate versions!"
Reviewed Sweet and Sour Chicken
"As did most, I doubled the sauce part of the recipe also tripling the chili garlic sauce but leaving the honey as stated. It was excellent. Some reviewers were correct, even though the ingredient list had ginger it was unclear where to add it (I see that a lot on here sadly). I grated it into the sauce - good place for it! Also, thanks to the ""
Reviewed Ricotta, Spinach, and Ham Stuffed Chicken Breast Marsala with Pine Nut Pilaf
"Wowsers! Even my picky eaters loved this dish - they ate around the mushrooms. I only substituted slivered almonds for the pine nuts because they are EXPENSIVE at my grocery store and the almonds were a cheap exchange. I saw the recipe on the show and it did vary a little on the website but it was still pretty easy to follow and turned out terri""
Reviewed Pat's Broccoli and Chicken Stir-Fry
"I doubled the sauce too for the same reason - husband likes more sauce and honestly, it did need it! And just for the novices like me, the grocery store actually has boneless, skinless thigh meat. I didn't know this! I bought thighs and painfully skinned and chopped the meat away. Duh, me. It's so good with their fried rice recipe or just white rice.
Reviewed Neely's BBQ Pulled Pork Egg Rolls
"Good stuff! But now I've just make the pulled pork without the egg roll wraps and served as a main course with noodles or potato salad. I also added a bit of molasses - just to give it a little pizzazz. But it didn't need it.
Reviewed Neely's Pineapple Fried Rice
"I made everything on the Neely's Take Out show one Sunday. Whew... Chinese food is way under priced, first of all. With all that chopping and such, my preparation time felt like it took forever! This is excellent stuff! My family doesn't like pineapple in foods so I eliminated it. But it's oh so good!
Reviewed Beer Braised Chicken
"Wowser! My picky teenaged daughters even loved this. I've heard of fennel, but I've never cooked with it before. How all this came together and tasted so good, it's like a time warp in the oven, I guess! Good stuff! I used Honey Brown beer.
Reviewed Potatoes au Gratin
"I really wish I had read the reviews first that it was going to take longer. It kindof ruined my dinner. My slicer cut them less than 1/2 inch and it still took 30 minutes plus to cook. Otherwise, they were good. But PLEASE if you're a time planner in the kitchen like me, it takes longer than 10 minutes, no doubt. Maybe Emeril's oven cooks faster than mine!
About Me
I'm a mom of three, 17, 16 & 2 so eating out is not an option in our household most times! So I strive to make quality meals at home that everyone will like while keeping in a budget! But that's probably everybody these days. I believe meal planning each week helps me do this and I always get great ideas from the Food Network!
