Reviewed Beef Tostadas
"The beef filling definitely needed something added to it. Tomato paste and chili powder didn't really add much flavor, and the sauce seemed a bit dry. I think some finely sliced cabbage and maybe a little pickled red onion would really pack a punch to this dish. Overall as it was, it was just ok, not something I would probably make again."
Reviewed Chicken and Asparagus Crepes
"I felt just so-so about this recipe. I think with adjustments it could be great but it was not as good as it looked. The filling was crumbly and did not blend well; it definitely needs some kind of binder like an egg to make the texture much more appealing, and the filling definitely was bland. The sauce was very thin and I added a good squeeze of lemon juice instead of the zest to improve on the taste. If the sauce was a little thicker it would make the dish feel more completed; it was too runny and felt more like a crepe in soup. With some changes this could be awesome, at the moment it was just eh."
Reviewed French Dip Sandwiches
"This recipe was not very easy and ended up being very messy with the end product. The meat was cooked to temp., and was much more rare than my family likes to eat. The overall flavor of the meat was good, but it was much too rare. The onion spread made the sandwich messy, and difficult to eat. I think with some adjustments this could be a very good recipe, but as it stands I don't think we will be making this one again."
