My Activity

Reviewed Turkey Dumpling Stew

"It tasted fine, wasn't amazing. The balance of the vegetables wasn't very good - it needed less green beans, more carrots. I just didn't like it very much and neither did my family. The dumplings and the broth were fantastic though. "

Reviewed Toasted Pumpkin Seeds

"Simple, quick, easy... and healthy! These were delicious. Mine needed about 9 minutes, they were too chewy at 7, but they were still so good. "

Reviewed Caramel Macchiato...just Like Starbucks

"Mine turned out absolutely disgusting. I used hershey's caramel syrup, so I think that was the problem, but I don't know. Either way it didn't turn out tasting anything like Starbucks."

About Me

I cook a lot of Asian dishes. I like cooking weird things, perfecting my own recipes, testing out old family recipes, baking Italian and French breads, drinking coffee and tea, and making homemade versions of store staples (coffee creamer, tortillas, graham crackers, etc.). I spend WAY too much time in the kitchen and I have too many cookbooks on my bookshelf.

I do other stuff, too, but cooking is my obsession. I'm self taught, and I'm only 16, so I'm still not very good, but I've got some dishes I can make to perfection. Like chicken noodle soup (with homemade broth) from scratch.

I do as much of my shopping at the farmers market, organic, fairtrade or zero-waste as possible. Healthy whole foods are my favorite and I despise using premade things (like soup stock) because homemade is always better.
