“i made it for hubby and he would rather the peppers not be so soft. He likes a little bite. So, i think the 20 minute cook time is really a bit too long if you dont want soggy veggies. I personally did not taste it as I m not a fan of italian sausage. But hubby says give it 4 stars so thats what it gets :)”

“Here';s what I did. I kept it somewhat the same. I took the frozen chicken and rinsed it off but didnt pat dry.
Then I placed in cold crock pot with the corn, salsa and black beans, but I did NOT drain the beans.
I cooked on high for 1 hour then lowered it to low for 5 1/2 hours. (I would periodically go in and stir it.) T...”
