Reviewed Tilapia With Hash Browns

Mar 7, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I don't know what I did wrong but this just came out bad. Could have been the flavor of the olives or too much rosemary. Ruined a couple nice pieces of fish IMO. :("

Reviewed Spaghetti alla Carbonara

Mar 7, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Loved this. First time making carbonara. Added some marinated sundried tomatoes and chopped onion with the garlic to the meat mixture (used thick turkey bacon as we don't eat pork). Fantastic flavor. Even my boyfriend who's not a big pasta eater went back for more. Definitely added to the recipe book."

This is fantastic!! Didn't have all of the ingredients and only used hamburger but the spice and flavor were perfect! I browned the meat then threw all of the ingredients in the crock pot and let them cook overnight on Low. Added a touch of Dave's Insanity Sauce an hour before serving (was made for lunch for my co-workers). The entire crock pot was...

Reviewed Garlic and Herb Grilled Sweet Potato Fries

Jan 31, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

These were great. My boyfriend and I are big sweet potato fans and I wanted to try something a little different for dinner. I didn't use the grill, however. I heated a little oil in a pan and kind of "fried" the potatoes to a perfect "done-ness." Then tossed in the garlic and thyme. Garnished with some dried parsley as I didn't have fresh. Wonderful...

Paula does it again! Love this recipe. Didn't have any green pepper or tomatoes so I used dried cranberries. The "dressing" was phenomenal. Thank you Paula for another great, easy, recipe!

Reviewed Roasted Cornish Game Hens

Jan 31, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This was my first time cooking cornish hens. This recipe was fantastic! Like several other reviewers I seasoned the cavity of the hen as well and added a little carrot to the stuffing. Cooked the hens for about an hr and a half then put them under the broiler to crisp up the skin before letting them rest for 20 min. They were so moist and flavorful....

Reviewed Biscotti

Jan 31, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Excellent recipe! Not a big fan of anise, so I did half a tablespoon of anise and half a tablespoon of almond. Also added slivered almonds to the dough and dipped the biscotti in melted chocolate and peanut butter. Was a big hit with my family, boyfriend, and co-workers! Will be making double batches again this week.

Reviewed Artichoke and Sun-Dried Tomato Stuffed Chicken Breast

Jan 19, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This recipe was a big hit!! Super easy to make. The first time I did stuff the chicken. The second time, I cooked the chicken then served the stuffing over top of it. Perfect both ways. Its even good as leftovers; as the flavors have a chance to meld and develop.

Reviewed French Onion Soup

Good, simple recipe. Made a small batch using 4 onions and 4 cups of vegetable stock. Great flavor with some smoked Gruyere.

Reviewed Coconut Cilantro Rice with Peas and Cashews

Great dish! Served this with Guy's Citrus Chicken. Not too heavy on the coconut flavor which was nice. Even my boyfriend who's not a big rice eater gave this an A and went back for seconds!

Reviewed Citrus Chicken

Great dish! Very flavorful and oh so moist! Wasn't sure at first about the mint and basil but figured I'd give it a shot. So glad I did! The only thing I would do differently would be to double the batch of the glaze. I only had enough for one round of basting.

Reviewed Chicken Nuggets with Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce

Nov 22, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on Food Network

Fabulous! Thank you Paula! Cooked the chicken for 18 minutes then stuck them under the broiler for several minutes to get them a nice golden brown. The honey mustard sauce was out of this world! A keeper in my house!
