"This recipe changed my mind about onion dip, and the flavors one can achieve with caramelized (onions) food.
You can't make this recipe without absolutely taking your time and caramelizing the onions perfectly. It takes a while, and its important to be patient and let them "do their thing".

Hi,
I'm a disabled veteran, and retired Navy Chief Petty Officer.
My disability limits me on many levels, but I do cook, whenever I can. I grew up in a family where food was our comfort zone, and everyone always came to our house for the holidays. Mom was (God rest her soul) a fantastic cook, and she taught me well.
But I'm always willing to learn, and love to see new things and new ways of doing things.
