About Me

At 9 years old, I saw Baked Alaska in a cartoon, I said, "Mama, What's Baked Alaska?"

She brought down her BIG GREEN RECIPE BOOK and showed me the recipe page, then said, "Here you go. Why don't you make one?" So I did.

Then, when I was a Navy Photographer, I was stationed two Summers in Sicily. I met an old GrandMother that taught me a few cooking lessons, and on the following year, the guy that introduced us was gone...but, I knocked on the door, and she taught me some more.

When I was 48, I woke up after having a stroke. I was not even able to say, "Miraculous Recovery." I lost my singing voice. I lost my Broadcaster's voice. But, I could still cook.

After a few years, most of the symptoms are gone. Few people know I had a stroke on first meeting me.
