My Activity

Reviewed Homemade Mango and Jalapeno Jelly

"This is the right recipe. I have made this for years and everyone loves and feels fortunate if they receive a jar. For my grandson who loves HOT I leave the seeds and ribs in the jalapenos.
As someone else said; Top a round of brie cheese with the jelly and wrap in puff pastry and bake at 425...It's heavenly, and everyone will be so impressed."

Reviewed Butter and Parm Squished Potatoes

"I think you need to use a nonstick pan for these. I saw the show and she had a hard time mashing them and I had a very hard time. Good recipe if you get it right!"

Reviewed Broccoli Salad

"Good salad. Be sure and dry the broccoli after you blanch for 1-2 minutes. I add hard boiled eggs and cranberries. Sliced grapes are good too!"

Reviewed Broccoli Salad

"Great salad, but do blanch the broccoli. Steam or put in boiling water for 1-2 minutes. Drain, put in ice water bath to cool, and DRY with paper towels or dish towel. I used equal parts of sour cream, mayo, and light Caesar dressing. A little apple cider vinegar and a little sugar."

Reviewed On-The-Go Chicken Salad Wraps

"Good recipe. I added halved grapes and plain toasted pecans. No curry, carrots or onion. Similar to the new sandwich at Arby's."

Reviewed Shrimp and Scallop Stir-Fry with Pineapple Fried Rice

"Lobster base is sold in stores or supplied by restaurant suppliers. It's jarred like beef base. It maybe difficult to find outside of a specialty store or restaurant supply company. You could use seafood or shrimp base. You could leave it out and still have a good sauce. This recipe does look like a good one and worth the try. "
