Replied to Baked Spaghetti Recipe : Paula Deen : Food Network

I'm an experienced enough cook to be able to tell this recipe will be a hit as is. To ruin it, you may have left something out, missed a step or overdid something. I always start a seasoned ground beef dish by sauting my onion first, then only cooking garlic for 30 seconds or so - then add your meat & layer your seasonings. If you're sensitive...

Reviewed old-fashioned apple crisp

This has quickly become my go to dessert. It's such a nice change from french apple pie like I usually make. I prefer granny smith but I've used golden delicious and just adjusted the sugar. I added 1/4 to 1/2 cup flour to the apples to help soak up some of the juices. I can't stay away from it & everyone in my family loves it. And to me it does...

Jan 9, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

Though I'm not a big mac & cheese fan I made this tonight for my family. I cut the recipe in half after reading other reviews. Otherwise I followed the recipe exactly. Again maybe because I'm not big on mac & cheese, but to me it was bland. Tomatoes helped although the combo of pasta & tomatoes reminded me of goulash. May try again &...

These were a huge hit! I followed the recipe to the letter & these turned out great - my 2 dogs cannot get enough of them. I love that I'm giving them wholesome ingredients - all I smelled while mixing/baking was peanut butter & oats. I baked for exactly 20 mins & the cookies come out fairly soft, not hard or crispy so both dogs went insane...

It's correct. Since my baking powder can opening was too small for easy measuring using a tablespoon, I used 3 teaspoons - same equivalent. Mine turned out great & are long gone already. Making more tomorrow.

I'll be checking back to see what others say. I honestly don't know. This is my first time making homemade dog treats. I can tell you that it was really easy to make these & I found a small bag of whole wheat flour at my grocery store. My 2 dogs LOVED them. We made them Christmas Eve & by Christmas night they are gone. Will make them some...

Update: I would still rate this 5 stars. I cut recipe in half & since my family does not like crunchy beans I cooked 1 lb. frozen green beans with nothing added the night before. The white sauce turned out perfectly as did the amount of seasoning & flavor. I was not crazy about the panko topping, which is typically something I love. I made...

I braved attempting stuffing this year & it tasted fantastic. I found a separate recipe for homemade poultry seasoning, which contains sage. Sage is key to stuffing. I cut recipe in half. When I first made it (2 days prior) it was soggy on bottom & kind of stale tasting on top (not what I call crunchy.) But luckily when I took it out Thanksgiving...

I am an experienced cook who reads reviews before trying a recipe. This one caught my eye, although I've yet to try any of Ree's recipes. We have a serious mushroom allergy in my home & I didn't want to simply omit a recipe staple. I like the mix of ingredients in this AND I've already identified some planned substitutions. I'll update my review...

Wow - I wish I could have eaten the entire panful myself! Followed the recipe as written; didn't have fresh parsley so dried tasted surprisingly great. My favorite ingredient was the red pepper flakes - they give just a hint of heat and really add a nice zing to the pasta. LOVE this one - Ina is remarkable! Wait til my teenager finds it in the mor"

Finally a GREAT corn chowder!! Leave it to Ina. Simple ingredients, a little prep & voila - SO good! Husband is on his second bowl & my child loves it. So nice to add another soup to our menu. THANK YOU, INA!!! (I cut recipe in half also. I do NOT suggest omitting the turmeric or potatoes!! All really good corn chowders I've tasted contain potatoe"

This is the 2nd time my family is making this recipe. The meatballs are out of this world!!! We're making a double batch this time. I used to be a picky eater & would not touch veal - not after this recipe! For the meatballs I followed the recipe exactly. I read one review that said they were bland. NO WAY - cook's error.
