AWESOME recipe! So simple yet delicious. I had to substitute some of the fresh herbs for dried ones, but it still turned out great."

Reviewed Creamy Squash Soup

Jan 3, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This is a great, tasty, simple base for a squash soup. Great as is, but better for my taste with some black pepper, touch of nutmeg, and maybe some ground coriander or whatever spices you prefer. It's good before adding the cream as well (if you're looking to cut calories).""

Great, easy recipe. Very moist and tasty. It's basically a pumpkin cake. And wonderful with the frosting. Yummy!""

Reviewed Maple Pecan Rice Pudding

Oct 9, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This recipe is really yummy. It's great warm or cold. I couldn't find any maple flavoring and left out the bourbon and raisins, but it still turned out great. The pecans are perfect for it, but I'll probably try it with different types of nuts in the future just to mix it up. Great recipe!""

This was just ok for me. Nothing spectacular. The tomato sauce really needs more depth.""

Reviewed Banana Bread With Chocolate Chips and Chocolate Glaze

Oct 9, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This recipe is SO GOOD. If it turns out tough, chances are you over-mixed it. I left out the glaze and used really good quality chocolate chips. Might want to do 3/4 cup of chocolate chips next time. But bananas and chocolate are my fave combo and this did not let me down! The tip below about using parchment paper is a good one, because I couldn'...

Reviewed Penne with Sun-dried Tomato Pesto

Oct 9, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I was expecting this to be really tasty, but was a little let down. I usually love Giada's recipes, and I love sun-dried tomatoes, but the pesto tasted a bit raw to me. Not bad, but probably won't make it again.""

Really tasty. My go-to recipe for meatloaf. It's so easy and goes great with some veggies and potatoes.""

Reviewed Rosemary Potato Frittata

Oct 9, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This recipe is good, but a little lacking. I mixed in some grated parmesan and browned, chopped up bacon when adding the eggs, and it was still missing something. Might help to season the eggs before adding them and maybe add some gruyere cheese.""

Pretty good if you're in the mood for a light chili. The lime and greek yogurt are a must, though.

Awesome recipe! Could not get enough of it. And also very easy and fast. I will probably try adding another jalapeno next time, because I could not taste any spice with just one. Still yummy, though!

Reviewed Three Bean and Beef Chili

Jan 25, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Great recipe! Very easy. I used 93% lean ground beef and cut back on the cumin by 1/2 a tsp, just because I feel it can be a bit over-powering. I also only used one can of kidney beans and one can of pinto beans. I felt like that was plenty of beans for me.
