About Me
Having read every recipe book over the course of 20 years- consider myself a pretty good cook! Recently, I've been able to lose a considerable amount of weight via recipes from the Network, substituting where I can....I've found most of the recipes delicious...20 yrs later, I'm no longer in those that take a long time and check for ones that I can find substitutes...so when I make a peach cobbler (yummy) I cut the sugar adding some honey and splenda...and the cobbler is still delicious...most times I can use 1/2 & 1/2 fat free half and half vs. cream, if need be a lil cornstarch can help thicken the 1/2& 1/2.. I'm addicted to the shows, of course having my favorite chefs and usually cook recipes daily found on the site. Cutting back on Cholesterol and fat (age requirement, dr's orders) the fish and vegs recipes are perfect and I treat (reward myself) with scrumptious desserts-making cobbler rt now
