Reviewed Basil Chicken Hash

This recipe has been a family favorite for the past 8 years since my mother and I first tried it in her kitchen. Now I have my own kitchen and she has me make it for her and my own little family. I normally have to double the entire recipe to make it for 8 1/2 people, there are not very many leftovers either. It takes me all day, when I don't have...

This is my favorite Galumpkis recipe, I even prefer it over my mother's (I pray she never reads this review). Why? I just love the sauce more, the brown sugar just hits the spot. I left out the raisins, wasn't crazy about that idea. I also added more spices to the meat mixture since I married into a spice culture, I had to please (mainly garam masala)....

This was a hit for my husband, he loved it, way more than I did. The flavors were great though I'd add more spices to it and maybe next time substitute the ground chicken for something else. I will have to make this again, the hubby will be asking. Oh, one thing I love is how quick and easy it is as well.

It was okay but definitely not something I'd make again...there are better chili recipes out there. We wasted most of it, just didn't taste very good and couldn't force ourselves to eat anymore.

I had high hopes for this recipe but they are gone. This is my first bad review, this was awful.I cook Middle Eastern food all the time, it is my background, the flavors in this recipe are absolutely strange.I thought if I added more spices it would be better but that didn't work (really strange how there is basically one spice for this entire recipe,...

I had my doubts while cooking this, but once my husband took the first bite, there was no doubt that this was a keeper. We often eat at Persian, Middle Eastern, and Indian restaurants and he complimented me that this was as good if not better than restaurants (he is being truthful, my biggest critic.) I left it to marinade for 3 hours which was go"

It was quite delicious, definitely a step up from the standard french toast. I felt it could have used a bit more flavor. I used salted margarine, and it gave the outer crust a sweet and salty effect, which was tasty. I would definitely recommend this recipe, quick and easy."

A great and simple recipe! My husband absolutely loved it, which was surprising since he does not usually like Western cooking all that much (finds it tasteless and bland compared to Middle Eastern cuisine full of spices...but he really loved this one, couldn't get enough, I'm about to make it again!"

This recipe was really good. One problem I had with it however was the amount of water you must add to the rice...5 cups of water is too much!! I only added 4 cups and it still came out mushy. Be careful about the water. Oh, and next time I would definitely add more spices for my own taste. I made this with Ina Garten's Indonesian Ginger Chicken.."
