My Activity
Reviewed Red Velvet Whoopie Pies
"So gorgeous and yummy! I used my "whoopie pie"/ muffin top pan to make sure they were all round. I also could not find vanilla beans, so I just used about a tbsp of vanilla extract (you can always thicken with more powdered sugar. I used half unsweetened chocolate and half white chocolate since that's what I had, little extra sugar and cocoa powde"
Reviewed Beer and Chipotle-Battered Fish Tacos
"OH my goodness! So good! I have never deep fried fish or any meat before, so I was a little nervous the beer batter wouldn't come out right--but it was absolutely perfect. Just don't overcook the cod or it gets spongy. I messily cut the ingredients in 3rds so I wouldn't make as much, and it still came out without being exact. I basically just used"
Reviewed Honey Wheat Bread
"Awesome bread recipe! I halved the recipe since it was my first time using it, but used the same amount of honey. I used creamed honey, added 2 tbsp ground flax, some fiber powder, and about a tsp of cinnamon. I let it rise for about an hour, then refrigerated so I could bake it in the morning. I substituted both liquors, I used some brandy and Sailor Jerry's (haha and I don't think it made much of a difference). I also used frozen peaches and berries that I al"

Reviewed Chicken and Broccoli Stir-fry
"This is a really good stir-fry, lots of flavor! I always add extra garlic, and, since I never have sherry, I use rice vinegar instead. I also add a little extra hoisin and water for more sauce. Perfect with sesame seeds and over jasmine rice""
Reviewed Thai Chicken Wrap with Spicy Peanut Sauce
"So good! Added a little extra cayenne to the sauce, I used garlic flavored rice vinegar and I didn't have any mint, though. Even my carnivorous hubby and his brother loved it :)""
About Me
I have been baking and cooking since I could see over the stove and reach the oven. I work full time, but someday aspire to own a bakery and sandwich shop. In the meantime, one of my favorite things to do is come home and cook dinner for my husband, family and friends. I am also the designated dessert lady for most functions, which makes me very happy :) I seek inspiration for my own recipes, and almost always tweek great recipes I find to make them my own.
