Reviewed Guinness Gingerbread

"Moist, yummy, fragrant, and EASY quick bread. Made this for an Irish Breakfast Brunch cutting it into 2inch cubes. Not one piece left! I too was unable to find "Lyles" syrup, so I used Dark Karo Syrup and it was lovely. It has the texture/consistancy of any moist quick bread (such as zucchini, pumpkin or banana, so don't overbake. Cook until sides just start to pull away from pan and still not 100% set in the middle. Guinness added moisture and bubbly lift, there is only 1 cup for the entire 9x13 pan so not an overbearing flavor if you don't like Guinness."
