About Me
I am recently married and we are working on our 1st baby. We're parents to two of the funniest labs on the planet and spend most of our nights at home now, so there is always something going on in the kitchen. I wasn't really interested in cooking until I met my husband 5 years ago. He is very skilled in the kitchen and definitely turned me on to it. I've been gathering recipes from this site for over two years and discovered a hidden love for baking. I'm quite famous within our group of friends for my desserts. We entertain friends and family at least 2 weekends a month depending on what sporting event is on. Can't wait to try more of what this site has to offer and to share what's working for us.
Favorite Foods
We like firey foods with big flavor. We live in Austin, TX where Tex-Mex rules. I've been working on recreating some of the dishes at our favorite spots at home and it's been fun. I also spent a big chunk of my childhood in the kitchen at my great grand-mother's italian restaurant and have been working on duplicating her taste and style since I haven't been anywhere that has come within miles of her food. I grew up near the Texas coast, so I have a love for seafood....fresh and well-prepared seafood which is also hard to find here.Advertisement
