Reviewed tiny lemon angel cakes with lemon confit

Feb 26, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

These are absolutely fantastic - True - The amount of dishes required is ridiculous, but the end result is divine :) I made this exactly as written, but ended up making 2 dozen mini "cakes" and 24 regular size cupcakes. Both baked for the same amount of time surprisingly. My only comment would be that the darker the pan the better. I made these using...

Reviewed Quick Vanilla Buttercream Frosting

Nov 11, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

Loved this super easy, delicious recipe! I had no problems with the icing being too thin - - it was a perfect, creamy consistency & worked perfectly for a basic cake and decorations. I have even made it with cocoa powder & semi-sweet chocolate and it was fabulous!

One word - BLISS. These are amazing. Seriously. I replaced the shortening with butter (in equal amounts) since that is what I had on hand, added a dash of vanilla, and a 1/2t. of cinnamon to the batter. Also, I only dipped the tops of each muffin in butter & cinnamon. A crime. I know. But they were no less fabulous!! Will definitely be making thes"

These are AMAZING. Absolutely amazing - I could not ask for anything more - I can't wait to try the next Pioneer Woman recipe! The bars are sweet, chewy, and held together perfectly. I made no changes & think the bars would be wonderful with any type of jam (red raspberry is my favorite). Thank you, thank you for posting this recipe!!"

Reviewed Lemon Cake With Lemon Meringue Frosting

Apr 2, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This was a delicious cake recipe. I made mine with blueberries versus raspberries, as I personally like the combination with the lemon (and I also used frozen berries rather than fresh). In addition, I made a few other changes as well. I added a full 3rd egg compared to just a 3rd egg white in the batter, and I added approximately 1/4 cup of sour "

Love these cookies. I had to make some changes to my additions, as I had different ingredients on hand, but one will be glad to know the Rice Krispies cereal can be replaced with Special K :) Thin, crispy and full of flavor, these cookies were a hit with my ten year old! Will definitely be making again! "

Loved this recipe. The flavors were wonderful and the texture of the cookie was great. I really enjoyed the chewy center of this cookie & the crispy outside won me over! I cooked mine for exactly 9 minutes and they were perfect :) "

Reviewed Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

Mar 29, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

These cookies are amazing! I did only add 3/4C of sugar (1/2 granulated and 1/4 brown) and a bit extra vanilla, but they were delicious! To help prevent a gritty texture, be sure to cream the peanut butter and sugars together prior to adding the egg - this gives the sugar a chance to dissolve into the peanut butter. Also, be sure to use a room te...

These biscuits are TO DIE FOR :) They are light, fluffy, and perfectly delicious. They raised nicely in the oven and got nice and golden brown! I would not change a thing! For those that got flat biscuits, make sure to mix the dough as little as possible and use really cold ingredients! Alton rocks! ""

Reviewed Bobby's Caramel Cake

Aug 11, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I was not a huge fan of this cake. The texture and flavor were OK, but it was extremely sweet and very crumbly. I used the ingredients specified by the recipe, but still found the cake to be a bit too coarse. Making the cake batter with brown sugar as opposed to white sugar might add additional flavor, but I do not think I liked the recipe enough...

Reviewed Hummingbird Cake

Aug 11, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This is the most amazing cake recipe...EVER. I also use one small can of crushed pinapple (with the juice) and double the amount of nuts! The beautiful thing about this cake is that it can be made as chunky or smooth as you want - nuts can easily be processed in a food processor for a finer texture. Cooking time will vary, so keep an eye on your ...

My new favorite cookie! This recipe is fast, easy, and tastes delicious! A very delicate cookie, but loaded with flavor. I was also extremely impressed with how long these cookies lasted on the counter in a tupperware container. Don't panic if your cookies turn out a bit darker than you would like...these are the best ones...all caramelized and c...

Reviewed Chocolate Bread

Aug 11, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Amazing bread. I did not have any cocoa powder on hand, so I used approximately 1/2 cup of melted milk chocolate and mixed that into the batter. Like some previous reviewers, I also felt the amount of oil was excessive, so I reduced it by 1/2. Bread turned out fluffy and tender. Unlike others, I did not have any trouble with my bread being overdo...

This is a delicious soup. I have tried it exactly as written and also with the addition of ham ~ so good ~ and really very easy. If you are not a fan of creamy soup, the recipe is easily adapted by ommiting the blending step. The recipe is just as good served chunky.
