About Me
I just turned 50 this summer and can't believe it. Still feel 26 inside. Life just seems to be getting better. I have 2 children still at home and going to school. Cooking, travel, and gardening are my passions. I watch very little tv, but when I do it is usually to watch Paula Deen, Rachel Ray or Everyday Italian. I am a real foodie and eager to try new things, traveling has exposed be to so many new and wonderful dishes, in addition to meeting wonderful people and learning new customs and cultures.
Favorite Foods
Can't really decide what my favorite is, there are so many. Everywhere I go I add new favorite to the list. They tend to correlate with my travels. This summer I went to Greece, Italy and Egypt (Moussaka, Taziki, Gyros,Vin Santo wine, pasta of all kinds, pizza, gelato, bellinis and lemoncello, Koushari, and Hummus, Kofta, mint and hibiscus tea )... Last year was Peru (Loma Saltado and Pesco Sours). Spain...Gazpacho and churros con chocolate. Just to name a few... Friends laugh because I have a habit of taking pictures of my food and menus when I travel. Looking at them brings all the flavors and joy of the moment flooding back to me. As a reult, I am always on a look out for recipes to recapture those moments and share when family and friends.Advertisement
