Alton should mention to portion out the dry rub during the dry rub portion of the recipe. A footnote at the end is not the way. My opinion.

This was delicious! I will make this again and again. From the previous comment about it being so involved that it took hours.. I don't get that. A gourmet chef (chefgirl358) should not have had so much difficulty with this and may want to re-train her skills? Very, very tasty dish!

This was completely tasteless! what a waste of time. I'm finished trying trisha Yearwood's recipes. I haven't found any flavor in anything she makes. She needs to stick to the sheet music and get out of the kitchen in my opinion.

i think a Cornichon is the nearly-extinct Mouse living in the Sahara Desert. I left that out, and the meal was still a hit!! As others have expressed, I needed to add more flavor to the meat with some more spices than Rachel wanted. Came out tasty. "
