Reviewed Bacon-Wrapped Dates Stuffed with Cream Cheese and Almonds

Dec 23, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

Excellent. I used a maple bacon. After cooking at 400 degrees for 8 min per side I took them out of the oven and drizzled honey & balsamic vinegar on top then finished them off for 2 mins per side in the broiler. I actually used slivered almonds that I roasted and salted. This is a great 1 bite appetizer. Yummy!

I thought this was excellent. Had trouble browning the pears as you did not say what temp to cook them at. I started at 350 and they weren't browning so I turned it up to 425 and still no browning effect. I did not want to have mushy pears so I topped them off in the broiler. I liked every aspect of this salad and I think if I would have left ...

Not to bad. I did like the sweetness on the onion with the nuttiness of the rice. The only thing was after 3 or 4 bites I had had enough.""

Reviewed Tandoori Spiced Chicken Breast with Grilled Tomato Jam and Herbed Yogurt Sauce

Sep 4, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I really liked this. It sure was a lot of spices though. I took the left-over paste and froze it in a plastic bag. The tomato jam as excellent even without the saffron, as once I saw how expensive it was I skipped that ingredient. This jam could be served as a dip with tortilla chips. I served it just like the recipe said and I was glad I did...

Reviewed Marinated Grilled Flank Steak with BLT Smashed Potatoes

Sep 4, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I did not care for this The steak was still tuff, even after I marinated it for 24 hours. I did not like the leeks in the potatoes. I did like the creaminess the chicken stock created in the potatoes.""

Reviewed Parmesan-Crusted Pork Chops

Aug 31, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Could not find pork chops as thick as the recipe called for, but I just reduced the cook time. 2 eggs was not enough for all 4 porkchops. I was hesitant to squeeze the lemon on top, but what the heck, I was glad I did. It added a nice subtle flavor that enchanced the rest of the flavors. I would make this again""

Not too bad. I think I boiled the potatoes too long as the skin was falling off while I cooked them. I really liked the flavor profile. ""
