My Activity

Reviewed Mexican Beef Stew over Chipotle Sweet Potato Mashers (Nuevo Latino Beef Dishes

"Doubled everything except the beef. Used two pounds of pork loin I cubed up. Also used red onion, and 7 fresh bell peppers.
Everything was great."

Reviewed The Ultimate Beef Wellington

"I followed the recipe, everything worked out great. No where near 6 hours to take care of it all though. Had to roll the puff pastry a bit thinner than 1/4 inch but one package was more than enough. Took 45 minutes on the peg with oven thermometer set at 425.

It was the main course and well worth the effort.

About Me

Laerned to cook because my Mother did not...well anyway.  Cooked in a real Restaurant for a spell in my youth and never lost the bug.  Have a large family to experiment on and we cover all sort of traditional "National" recipes as well as "Southern Fusion".

Favorite Foods

I would say I love to cook up a good Apple Pie about the most of all.  It is an Autumn favorite.

I receive many favorable comments on my Chili, Tomato based pasta sauce and use of the smoker on large meat.

As far as Restaurants go, on the rare occasion I dine out, I prefer the small locally owned places. We have a great Italian place called Gina's right here in town.
