I typically really dislike mustard on my cooked meats and fishes, but I wanted a different version of chicken breast. This was REALLY good! I was pleasantly surprised. I also used cabernet sauvignon as I didn't have brandy in the house. I don't even like sauces, but the sauce was great. One piece of advice- spinach is bitter enough- go light on th"

I had never made duck before and only had it a few times when I was in Thailand. OMG- this recipe is amazing. Boiling really does eliminate the fattiness issue of the duck. I've made this twice already in 2 weeks- just for myself! Something about kosher salt and freshly ground pepper on the skin of the crispy duck skin...the combination is iMazing!...

This turned out very tasty BUT I think that the roasting on a flat pan can cause a lot of smoke in your house. My smoke detector in my kitchen kept going off and it was really annoying. I ended up cooking this a little longer because it was very rare at 25 minutes, even after resting for 15. I will definitely make this again but I will probably use...

Reviewed Meringues Chantilly with Roasted Berries

Jan 1, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I incorporated this into my new year's menu as a light dessert and it was a huge hit! I admit- I cheated: Whole foods sells meringues by the pack and I used those instead. I'm a great cook but baking is really not my thing. I don't enjoy it at all even though I love cooking. The berries turned out to perfection. I added some whipped topping as well....

Ok- first of all this was REALLY good. BUT I have a critique. Like many other reviewers, the amount of milk called for was too much. I watched her make this on tv, so I saw what the consistancy was supposed to be with the milk & flour/butter combo. On tv it was a nice thick cream. In real live it was like water. I ended up dumping about 1/2 a cup...

Tonight was a good night for experimentation since there was a snow storm here in the east and our cars are all under 2 ft of snow. I was very pleasantly surprised by this recipe. It seemed simple enough and not too exciting, but the combination of ingredients really popped! I did leave out the olives and olive juice because a) I never follow directions...

I rarely give 5 stars- it's hard because everyone has their own taste and ultimately just because you don't like something it doesn't mean that it's not a good recipe. That said, I am happy to report I found a 5 star recipe :) This was easy, tasty and didn't have any controversial ingredients (sometimes the food network chefs add things to the recipe...

Turned out good...Also to the reviewers complaining about the price. I actually wondered the same thing at first, but then I realized something- I believe this is Ten Dollars PER PERSON. Not 10 bucks total...That was my 'Aha' moment.

Eh...they should tell you to WHIP it not whisk it. Otherwise, it's a runny mess. Still freezing it now, but I'm not optimistic.
