My Activity

Reviewed Pan Fried Meatloaf in Tricolor Peppers

"This is my first Sunny dish. I plan to make the salmon in pie crust with spinach as well. This was so good and tasty and healthy. My girls ate it up."

Reviewed Baked French Toast Casserole with Maple Syrup

"I should have watched the video first. I laid the bread face up and cut it to fit in the dish. It was very buttery to say the least, but still excellent. Now that I've reviewed the video I know how to place the bread. This is a family favorite. Thanks Paula!"

Reviewed White Peach-Bourbon French Toast with White Peach-Pecan Maple Syrup

"This was good. I could not find peach puree, so I used peach baby food. It wasn't very peachy to me, but putting the peaches in the syrup really added the peach flavor for me. The family loved it. But where can I find peach puree?"

Reviewed Deconstructed Sweet Potato Hash with Fried Eggs

"This was good. I cooked the sweet potatoe and onion together the first time and my husband didn't notice the sweet potatoe. The next time I made it I cooked it according to the directions and he could taste the sweet potatoe. Lesson learned for me, onions over power sweet potatoes."

Reviewed Challah French Toast

"This is my favorite bread for french toast. I tried brioche and day old french bread. The brioche was just OK because it was still too airy and soft. The french bread isn't big enough. This was perfect, I served it to my husband with sweet potato hashbrowns and eggs. He loved it!"

Reviewed The Best Bread Pudding

"Hi Paula,
My daughter made this one. She is 14 and loves helping me in the kitchen. She put a stick of butter instead of a half stick for the topping. It was still gone in 2 days. The bread pudding was so sweet and buttery I didn't add the sauce. This was our dessert after having your pot roast."

Reviewed Pot Roast

"Oh wow! Paula this was so good. I see why Harry Conick enjoyed this dish. My husband made is plate to eat and I asked why the kids weren't eating and he said, they didn't look hungry. He wanted it all for himself. The children did eat as did I and they all made happy plates. Thanks for a great dinner Paula!"

Reviewed Big Daddy's Spicy Beef Patty

"This is my first review. I chose it because I wanted to use my ground turkey. My husband bought the wrong pie crust that was already in a pan, and he forgot the onion. I finished the meat and later sautéed the onion in the extra beef broth and added it with the bread crumbs. I remembered to use sea salt instead of regular salt thanks to the other reviews I read before preparing. I was only able to make 13 in the pie crust, so I made a pot of white rice and served the remaining meat mixture over it. My 2 and 5 year old cleaned their bowls!! As I am typing I realize that I forgot to add the jalapenos. No problem, this was so good, quick and easy I will make it again this week. I wanted to offer an option to the recipe. If you don't want to take the time making individual pastry pockets, you can put the meat mixture in a casserole dish and pour a cornbread mix over it, your choice of mix. Once done baste the top with the curry mixture and bake 5 more minutes. Voila!

About Me

I love Food Network to say the least.  I am a mommie of 3 beautiful girls and wife.  I am always referring to Food Network.com for new meals both everyday and for romantic evenings.  I kid that I pay a huge cable bill for only 3 channels, HGTV, Disney Channel and Food Network.  My husband even watches with me.  My dream is to attend a Food Network Convention and the culinary stars in person!

Favorite Foods

Ribs, ribs, ribs, very saucey BBQ!  I also love shrimp, bacon, and fried chicken.   To curb my BBQ appetite I attend 2 ribs festivals every year.  The Rib Fest in Naperville, IL and the Forest Park Rib Fest in Forest Park, IL.  My favorite restaurants are Brazzaz, MacArthurs, Famous Dave's, and Lawrence's Fisheries.
