About Me

I have recently moved from AZ to Wenatchee WA. Life goes on and I am looking forward to making many changes. I like to make use of fresh seafood and produce when available but I really like making homemade soups. My favorite cookbook is an old Betty Crocker that I have had for 30 years, stained and dog-eared but well loved.

Favorite Foods

Seafood with very few exceptions. I love almost any chocolate dessert, but not brownies or cake that has chocolate frosting. I make cookies, but mostly in bar form. During the holidays, I have made Almond Joys, Turtle-ettes, Pine-applettes, Fudge, of course and my take on Almond Roca, original recipe came from the Seattle Today show back in the 80's.  Fruit in the Wenatchee Valley is starting to come to market.  Made Julia Child's Cherry Clafouti to share with some friends at a church potluck.  I am really looking forward to fresh Apricots!
