My Activity

Reviewed Coconut Cream Pie

"This is a very good pie! The crust was good, not heavy or doughy and was just a little sweet. The custard was simple to make and very tasty. If you have a Kitchenaide mixer the meringue is a snap. I did add a little mor sugar to the egg whites. The pie browned nicely and toasted the coccnut to look beautiful. "

Reviewed Shrimp Scampi

"More than just tasty! This was a true hit at my husband's birthday party for 6 of us. I increased by 4 the sause because I was serving it over pasta . Everyone is still talking about it! I also added four lobster tails to the shrimp for something just a bit special and it was so yummy. The trick is to purchace the best seafood you can. I shopped at Whole Foods and both the shrimp and lobster were sweet and tender. "

About Me

I love to cook for family and friends. I also love the food Network. I'm crazy for "The Ace of Cakes" and "Barefoot Contessa" (when she doesn't put Rosemary and?or Thyme in everything...or bell peppers). I'm a Registered Nurse and am going to retire in October after 41 years as a nurse.
