Reviewed Parker's Split Pea Soup

Easy and delicious. I followed the advice of other reviewers and eliminated the salt completely. It did not need it. Added celery and bay but also put in 1/4 tsp of red pepper flakes. Next time I will add more. Also, when the onions, carrots, and celery were cooked, I added all of the peas at once and let them saute with the veggies for just "

Beautiful for Christmas. Followed recipe exact. It was deliciously rich and got 12 pieces from the tart...that was more than enough for a single serving.""

While making these today, I refreshed my memory as to how many years I've been making these cookies. My recipe is the orignal page that I pulled from Better Homes and Gardens magazine, dated December 1985. They were the $1000 grand prize winner submitted by Kate Beckman from Chino, CA. I'll never forget stepping back from the finished product ...

This is really, really good. Like other reviewers, I made a few changes and will never eat store-bought again. I doubled the veggies but eliminated the serrano peppers. For the brine, I used a total of 2 T course sea salt in 4 cups of water. Then I kept the single recipe for the oil (in spite of the double veggies)and added 1/4 c of rice wine...

So just shut up and eat what you get! As a cook who works from instinct and not recipes, I didn't know what to do with the package I had so used this recipe, and it was awesome! Because I had 4 thighes, I cut the recipe in half. In place of Coriander, I used Cummin and dropped the All Spice because I didn't have it either. I'll make this agai"

These were awesome! I used salted butter so just left out the salt that was called for. Also, I ramped up the temp on the pan and rather than a scant 1/3 cup, used a full 1/3 cup and the pancakes came out perfect. This is a keeper.
