My Activity

Reviewed Hot Honeyed Spare Ribs

"I have used this sauce on spare ribs, shredded chicken for sandwiches and bone-in ribs. Brushing the bone-in ribs while on the bbq is outstanding. THe sauce will carmelize and get the edges crispy. I love the sweetness of the honey. Easy and fast recipe."

Reviewed Apple and Oatmeal Crisp

"THis recipe is real good. THe topping is too dry, so I'll add more butter to the crumb mixture next time. I used granny smith apples. I like my crumb topping crispy. When it came out of the oven the crumb topping looked the same as when I put it in. More butter needed i think."

Reviewed Chicken Stew with Biscuits

"I made this for a football party. I doubled the recipe and put it in my electric roaster. I made it the day before, so I wasn't cooking during the party. Instead of putting the biscuits directly in the stew, I had them on the side and guests laddled the stew over the biscuit. Everyone went home with a full and happy tummy."

Reviewed Corn and Potato Chowder

"Any recipe that has "chowder" in the title gets me excited to try it. This was no exception. Wow! I have made this without the 1/2 and 1/2 and it was still real good."

Reviewed The Lady and Sons Beef Vegetable Soup

"THis soup is very good. I used homemade egg noogles instead of elbow macaroni. I also don't like okra so that was omitted. Beef short ribs tend to be very fatty. Using a boneless chuck roast is easier to handle and has more meat. Paul is such a great cook!"

Reviewed White Bean Chili

"No variations with this one. It is perfectly delicious!"

Reviewed Fettuccine Chicken Salad

"I followed previous reviews and cut down on the mayo. I used 1 cup mayo w/olive oil and it was a good salad. Two cups would've been way too much, and sometimes regular mayo is just too heavy."

About Me

I am an independent distributor in a greeting card and gifting company.  I like to spend time with family & friends - which is usually around food & drink.  Gathering around a fire-pit is one of favorite things to do at home.  My passion is flower gardening and trying new recipes. My inspiration to cook is my love for good food and making my family happy.  Cooking is a sign of love, it shows my family how much I them and care for them.

Favorite Foods

I am famous for my chicken lasagna and the christmas cookies I bake every year as gifts.  I make a real good chili from a Texas recipe I discovered.
