Outstanding recipe. The whole wheat adds a nice touch. Made a whole batch, but don't think there will be any left to put in the freezer. Alton does it again!"

Reviewed Lasagne Bolognese al Forno

Feb 25, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

My wife hates lasagna but couldn't get enough of this recipe. I made the bolognese and pasta the night before which really helped speed up dinner. This will be the only lasagna recipe I use from now on. Great taste!""

Reviewed Spiced Pecans

Nov 22, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

So yummy! We made these for Alton's spiced bourbon pecan pie and these took that pie over the top. They are so good by themselves we almost didn't have enough left to make the pie. Good thing they are so easy to make.""

Reviewed Bourbon Pecan Pie

Nov 22, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This recipe is outstanding! We followed it exactly - including making the spiced pecans (so yummy) and using golden syrup (you have to try that!). The only change I made was using spiced rum instead of bourbon (we didn't have any in the house). It is the perfect pie - Alton is a genius!""

This was amazing. We made the cooked version and substituted spiced rum. I can't believe we ever bought the store stuff, never again!""

Solid recipe for anytime you feel snackie or have a party. Can make the house a bit smokey, but we have also had much success on the weber charcoal grill too.

We make this all the time. I like to saute the onions at the end of cooking the bacon and then make the dressing in the same pan. Highly recommended.

Reviewed Taco Soup

Dec 21, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Yummy! I used frozen roasted green chile, 1 fresh jalapeno and cooked dry beans in the pressure cooker. I substituted 1 large can of diced tomato for all the others, and added 2 cans of water. I also used 1 lb of ground beef. That made for more of a soup consistency. I also added fresh cilantro at the end. Great flavor on this one.

Reviewed Dry-Aged Standing Rib Roast with Sage Jus

Dec 21, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Outstanding! Absolutely flawless recipe. We couldn't get the terra cotta pot, so I used my enameled cast iron pot and covered with foil. I served it with Alton's horseradish sauce and yorkshire pudding - Wow! So amazing that I have another 10 lb roast aging in the fridge so we can do it again for Christmas. Alton - you are my hero!
