Reviewed Garlic Cilantro Lime Rice
"I really liked this dish. I cut the recipe in half and actually only used half a lime and it was perfect for my taste. A hint of lime but not overpowering. Definitely needed the cilantro for flavor. Good for serving with Mexican dishes!"
Reviewed Tequila Lime Chicken
"Good for a basic weeknight rotation. I served with Cilantro Lime rice and mango salsa. I thought it needed the kick of the salsa. A little plain on its own but tasty."
Reviewed Toasted Israeli Couscous
"Very solid side dish - something different. Served it with fish. I left out the apricot due to my husband's preference, but still really enjoyed the dish!"
Reviewed Fresh Thyme, Garlic and Lemon Broiled Catfish with Bread Crumbs
"This is a good, quick, easy weeknight recipe. Great flavors. As a few reviewers noted already, my breadcrumbs started browning in the first few minutes under the broiler so I moved the fish to the bottom once the crumbs were nicely done, and then it turned out just fine in the time stated. I also used Panko instead of fresh bread crumbs and it "
Reviewed Chicken with Shallots
"I made this out of Ina's cookbook before reading the reviews. I had a similar problem to others with the sauce being too lemony (I had this problem with her Meuniere as well. Next time I will cut back on the lemon juice and I think it will be great. Served with Alton's polenta."
Reviewed Easy Sole Meuniere
"Love Ina, but agree that this was too tart. I will definitely try again, and use less lemon juice next time and see what happens. I just browsed the Anne Burrell recipe and she uses 2 TBSP for her recipe and Ina uses 6 for the same amount of fish/butter. I think it will be great next time with modifications."
Reviewed Oven Roasted Broccoli
"Good basic side. I like my broccoli a little more done so roasted it another few minutes. Still pretty al dente at 7 minutes, as others have noted."
Reviewed Greek Salad
"Easy, yummy, beautiful basic recipe! Definitely entertaining or potluck worthy. I omitted the olives just out of personal preference but made the rest as written and it turned out great."
