Reviewed Chicken Divan with Almonds

FABULOUS!!! For some reason it's always hard to find a recipe for Chicken Divan that does not involve "cream of something" soup so when I found this & it had everything I looked for, I gave it a whirl - and was greatly rewarded! The taste is just wonderful, even better the next day. Only substitution I made was to use gruyere cheese instead...

Reviewed Baked Shrimp Scampi

Jan 4, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This dish was a little more than "easy" to prepare, but worth the trouble - I think I will use more panko and less butter next time, as the color was yellow instead of nice & brown like the picture, and really didn't sit well on the stomach either being so buttery. I had a hard time getting the tails on the shrimp to stand up, rather than fall back...

Reviewed Herbed Pork Roast and Cranberry Chutney

Nov 19, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on Food Network

This looked soooo good, just like the picture - and the smell while it was cooking had me literally drooling! But when I took the first bite, I realized the mistake I'd made: I bought one of those Smithfield pork roasts that Paula's always touting, and it was SO salty we couldn't eat it!!! Lesson learned, either use fresh pork, or if you use a packaged...
