"I have never eaten kourambiedes with cloves. Typically the flavoring is vanilla and orange blossom water which you either incorporate in the recipe or sprincle after they are baked and before they are rolled in powder sugar. Typically also the nuts that go with kourambiedes are blanched and caramelized slivered almonds. Other wise they are just plain butter cookies, not kourambiedes! The ingredients are OK except that you need a little baking powder to make them rise a little and lighten up.
