Reviewed Surf 'n Turf Paella

"One wonders why people complain about a recipe when they omit or change around the most flavorful ingredients. If a recipe uses a lot of olives and you hate olives, find another recipe -- or else make it the way it says to, and find out that if you eat olives chopped fine as a part of a recipe, you just might find it's actually quite good. About Me

Began as a sandwich girl at 17 in a restaurant/bar on Capitol Hill, Washington D.C.: was head cook within three months. (We didn't call ourselves "chef" back then, but customers would insist on meeting me to compliment my meals -- and tip me!) Worked in the restaurant/bar/hotel business for many years, at every possible job. For a time I was training most of the restaurant personnel in Washington D.C. (by default, mostly). If you could say you were trained by me, you were usually hired on the spot.

Due to a long term battle with medical issues, I left D.C. for Upstate NY, where I started out once more as a short order cook -- and worked my way up to chef in short order, again. (It didn't take long before every restaurant in the area had some version of my macaroni with 3 cheeses, black olives and artichoke hearts ... and then there were my marinated raw vegetables.)
