My Activity

Reviewed Creamy Corn and Vegetable Soup

"Great if you're on a diet. It tasted great, it really did have a creamy texture, but I think it was missing something - it's a little bland. But I've made this a few times, and have even pureed peas with the corn, which also worked well. Adding crushed red pepper flakes also helps.

Reviewed Lemon Fusilli with Arugula

"This pasta is so yummy and so easy. I like it both with and without the arugula. I've even substituted the heavy cream for light cream and it still tasted great because of the other flavor-filled ingredients. I usually skip the salt in recipes, but not on this one, otherwise the sauce would be way too bland.

Reviewed Banana Bread

"This is such a delicious and simple recipe! I also added a teaspoon of vanilla to it. It had just the right amount of sweetness. I made 3 batches over the weekend and it was gone within a week. I added chopped walnuts in one loaf and chocolate chips in another. After tasting the chocoloate-chip version, I don't think I'll ever go back to regular banana bread. However, the chips will sink to the bottom of the loaf if the banana mixture is too thin. I had that problem - next time I'll make sure the batter is thick enough to keep the chips in place.
