Reviewed Classic Fried Chicken

"This recipe is AWESOME for its method! I used my own flavors in the bine and flour but followed the recipe otherwise. The chicken was nice and moist and oh sooooo crunchy. I never used a batter to fry chicken before but this is my new way to make fried chicken."

About Me

I am a teacher who is near the end of my career. I have many craft interests and have just added cooking to my list. Since I like to keep a check on what DH eats I usually try to follow the WW diet and just love their cookbooks. Recipezaar has become the answer to my many cookbooks and recipes I gather and just can't seem to get organized. MMMMM maybe in retirement.

Favorite Foods

I enjoy experimenting with different foods. Grilling is my specialty. I can cook an entire meal on the grill and live for when it gets warm. I have been known to grill in the winter in the snow. We don't go to resturants to much anymore since we ate out every night for at least 10 years. I have found I enjoy doing it myself where I can control the seasonings and ingredients.
I try very hard when I to follow a recipe, but I love spices and herbs and do a lot of experimenting with them. Therefore I rate recipes on Zaar according to flavor, and changes needed to be made.
***** = Great flavor and no changes made to the recipe besides adding more of a spice or ingredient to fit our tastebuds.
**** = Good flavor but I needed to add 1 or 2 extra spices or herbs.
*** = Flavor was improved by the addition of 3 or more spices or herbs.
** = Family rated recipe as ok but don't make soon.
* = Family rated as PLEASE don't make again.
