Reviewed Swiss and Bacon Dip

Jan 28, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I have made this recipe many times and its always a favorite! Not once have I found it greasy. It goes very well with foccacia or toasted cibatta bread. I also agree with others about using Real Bacon Bits to cut down on time. "

Tasty? What did you thinkMy hubby and I go out of our way to visit Smalley's as often as possible! We came across this place a few years ago while roaming through Stillwater and we found a gem! We were very excited to see it appear on Triple D!! The Mac-N-Cheese (with chilis and bacon) is satisfying, the beer-batter plank fries are to die for and "

I made this for Thanksgiving last year and it was delicious! Everyone enjoyed it and I have had many requests for it again this year. If cooking for a crowd, double the recipe because it goes fast!""

Reviewed Easy Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes

This recipe was delicious! My husband has never liked scalloped potatoes but he went back for thirds with this recipe! The only thing I did different that I would recommend that people try is I used gruyere cheese instead of cheddar (but both ways are great!)""

This is a wonderful breakfast dish in its self. Simple and savory, the way breakfast should be. My favorite part about it is its given me so many ideas. I usually add green peppers and substitute cheddar for swiss but I encourage everyone to try it the way it is because it is delicious. Its also FANTASTIC for a crowd...all you need is a bloody mary...

Reviewed Mom's Meatloaf

Mar 29, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I came home one day to my hunny making this meatloaf (he found this recipe in my stack of "need to make") and I have to say, I LOVED it! It reminded me exactly of my Grandma's meatloaf growing up. The best part is, its easy enough that a guy (who refuses to cook anything that isn't on a grill can make it! I'm not not the biggest fan of horseradish...

The first time I made this I did find it to be dry so the next time I made it I added crushed tomatoes and it seemed to help a great deal. It does have simple flavors so adding a little basil and red pepper flakes helps kick it up a notch. "

This was a huge hit in my house! I'm always looking for different pizza ideas and this one was a home run! The sauce had great flavor and the toppings were perfect. The only thing I did different was I grilled the chicken and diced it instead of shredding it. "

This is a favorite in my home and is requested on a regular basis! I used to buy enchilada sauce from a can but after making this, I'll be using this sauce on many Mexican dishes. Poaching the chicken in the broth, bay, oregano and onion also gave it wonderful flavor. I usually have flour tortillas on hand and they work just as good as the corn tortillas....

Mar 22, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Very good needs some tweeking. I would suggest reducing the amount of soy sauce and hoisen sauce and using more tangerine. The second time I made this, I also added garlic and red pepper flakes when cooking the beef. It makes a good amount of sauce so adding some veggies would make it a great stir fry! "
