"Emeril, your the "bomb"!!(or Bam) Made this soup last week for good friday and it was a huge hit. The flavors are all there. But, I think the secret ingredients are the ginger & cayenne. Just perfect. Making again today for a friend coming out of the hospital. Know she'll love it."
"My husband and I liked this soup very much. With a side salad, it's a meal. However, I did change a couple things. I used double the bacon and didn't remove the drippings (flavor). I am a recipe addict and can't stop collecting them. Have more then a lifetimes to try and luckily my husband doesn't mind being a guinea pig. Love all kinds of cuisine from around the world and will go out of my way to get a special ingredient. I'm a good baker too and christmas usually means about a dozen different types of cookies to share with friends & family.
